En el nivel de principiantes se trabajarán las técnicas básicas de iniciación al estudio del clave, haciendo hincapié sobre todo en la técnica del toque histórico. Asimismo se introducirá a los alumnos en la interpretación históricamente bien documentada basado en el uso de los instrumentos originales y en la confrontación con los tratados históricos que hacen referencia a la interpretación y a los usos de la práctica musical en su época.
Para el nivel avanzado se profundizará en el estudio y análisis de las obras propuestas por los alumnos. También se ampliarán los conocimientos en relación con la tratadística especializada en la interpretación instrumental.
